ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION OF GEORGIA MOUNTAIN SHOOTING ASSOCIATION, INC.ARTICLE ONE
The name of the corporation is GEORGIA MOUNTAIN SHOOTING ASSOCIATION, INC.

ARTICLE TWO
The corporation is organized pursuant to the provisions of the Georgia Nonprofit Corporation Code.

ARTICLE THREE
The corporation shall have perpetual duration.

ARTICLE FOUR
The object of this corporation shall be the encouragement of organized rifle and pistol shooting among citizens of the United States resident in our community, with a view toward a better knowledge on the part of such citizens of the safe handling and proper care of firearms, as well as improved marksmanship.
It shall be the further object and purpose to forward the development of those characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self discipline, team play and self-reliance which are the essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of true patriotism.

ARTICLE FIVE
The affairs of the corporation shall be managed by a Board of Directors.
The method of election of directors shall be as determined by the bylaws of the corporation.

ARTICLE SIX
The corporation is not organized and shall not be operated for pecuniary gain or profit.
No part of the profit of the corporation and no part of its net earnings shall enure to the benefit of any director or other private individual. The corporation shall never be authorized to engage in a regular business of a kind ordinarily carried on for profit or in any other activity except in furtherance of the purposes stated for which the corporation is organized.
​​The corporation shall never engage in propaganda, attempt to influence legislation, or participate in any political campaign on behalf of any candidate for public office, nor shall any part of its property or part of the income there from be devoted to such purposes.
